Conduction, Convection and Radiation: Problem Solving

Eine 13 cm dicke Wand mit einer Fläche von 100m2 und einer Wärmeleitfähigkeit von 1,5 W/mK trennt den Raum von der äußeren Atmosphäre, die bei 3 Grad Celsius herrscht.
Die Außenfläche der Wand hat eine Temperatur von 10 Grad Celsius und ihr Emissionsgrad beträgt 0,8. Wenn der konvektive Wärmeübergangskoeffizient 15 W/m2K beträgt, ermitteln Sie die Gesamtwärmeverlustrate an die Umgebung. Berechnen Sie auch die Temperatur der Innenfläche der Wand.
Hier sind alle drei Mechanismen der Wärmeübertragung beteiligt. Die Wärmeübertragung von der Innen- auf die Außenfläche der Wand erfolgt durch Leitung, während der Wärmeverlust an die Umgebung durch Konvektion und Strahlung erfolgt.

Der Gesamtwärmeverlust an die Umgebung durch Konvektion und Strahlung kann also mit 13,27 x 103 W berechnet werden.
Unter Verwendung der Energieerhaltung und durch Einsetzen der Terme in der Wärmegleichung kann die Temperatur der Innenfläche der Wand berechnet werden.

Es gibt drei Methoden, durch die Wärmeübertragung erfolgen kann: Wärmeleitung, Konvektion und Strahlung. Jede Methode hat einzigartige und interessante Eigenschaften, aber alle drei haben zwei Dinge gemeinsam: Sie übertragen Wärme ausschließlich aufgrund eines Temperaturunterschieds; und je größer der Temperaturunterschied, desto schneller ist die Wärmeübertragung.

Um ein Problem in Bezug auf Wärmeübertragung zu lösen, muss zunächst die Situation untersucht werden, um die Art der Wärmeübertragung zu bestimmen. Dies kann Wärmeleitung, Konvektion, Strahlung oder alle drei sein. Der zweite Schritt besteht darin, die unbekannten Größen im Problem zu identifizieren und aufzuschreiben. Es kann eine Liste erstellt werden, was gegeben oder aus dem Problem abgeleitet werden kann, d.h. die bekannten Größen, gefolgt von der Lösung der entsprechenden Gleichung für die zu bestimmende Größe.

Für die Wärmeübertragung durch Wärmeleitung sollte folgende Gleichung verwendet werden.

Für Konvektion hängt die Rate des Wärmeverlustes von der Temperaturdifferenz, der Oberfläche und dem Wärmeübertragungskoeffizienten ab.

Die folgende Gleichung gibt die Nettowärmeübertragungsrate für Strahlung.

Durch das Einsetzen der bekannten Größen zusammen mit ihren Einheiten in die entsprechende Gleichung und deren numerische Lösung erhält man die richtige Lösung.

Heat transfer calculations with conduction and convection use the temperature difference to find the rate of heat flow. Radiation can also be part of the process. The main idea is that heat moves only because one area is hotter than another, and a larger temperature difference leads to faster transfer.

To solve a heat transfer problem, first identify the type of transfer involved. It may be conduction, convection, radiation, or a combination of all three. Next, write down the unknown quantities and sort the given information from the problem statement.

After the known values are listed, choose the correct equation for the type of heat transfer. Use the conduction equation for heat flow through materials. For convection, the rate of heat loss depends on the temperature gradient, the surface area, and the heat transfer coefficient. For radiation, use the equation for net heat transfer rate.

Finally, substitute the known quantities and their units into the selected equation. Solve the equation numerically to find the answer. This method helps students work through heat transfer problems in a clear, step-by-step way.
