Global Research Collaboration

Global research collaboration is the coordinated work of scientists and institutions across countries to address questions that benefit from shared expertise, resources, and perspectives. In developmental biology, collaborators align research objectives, protocols, data standards, and communication systems while combining approaches such as imaging, genetic analysis, and computational modeling to study how organisms develop. These partnerships can increase sample diversity, support replication, and accelerate the interpretation of complex developmental processes. By connecting laboratories with complementary capabilities, global research collaboration strengthens scientific training, promotes equitable knowledge exchange, and helps translate developmental biology findings into broader advances in health and biotechnology.

Global Climate Change

2019

Throughout its ~4.5 billion year history, the Earth has experienced periods of warming and cooling. However, the current drastic increase in global temperatures is well outside of the Earth’s cyclic norms, and evidence for human-caused global climate change is compelling. Paleoclimatology, the study of ancient climate conditions, provides ample evidence for human-caused global climate change by comparing recent conditions with those in the past. Past Periods of Warming and Cooling In the last...
