Acrylic Holder Assembly

Acrylic Holder Assembly is the engineering process of arranging and securing transparent acrylic components to create a stable holder for objects, instruments, or equipment. The assembly depends on accurate measurement, clean edges, proper alignment, and suitable joining methods such as mechanical fasteners, brackets, or acrylic-compatible adhesives, while minimizing stress that could cause cracking. Engineers use these assemblies when visibility, light weight, corrosion resistance, and straightforward fabrication are important. Understanding the design and assembly process supports reliable prototypes, laboratory fixtures, display structures, protective covers, and other custom components used in educational, industrial, and research settings.

2016

A novel methodology is presented to synthesize and program main-chain liquid-crystalline elastomers using commercially available starting monomers. A wide range of thermomechanical properties was tailored by adjusting the amount of crosslinker, while the actuation performance was dependent on the amount of applied strain during programming.
