Chinese Mongolian Osteopathy

Chinese Mongolian Osteopathy is a traditional manual-therapy approach that evaluates and treats musculoskeletal dysfunction through hands-on techniques, making it relevant to the study of movement, force, and human biomechanics. Practitioners use palpation to assess tissue and joint mobility, then apply controlled pressure, traction, mobilization, or manipulation to influence mechanical loading and soft-tissue tension. In engineering, these principles can inform biomechanical analysis, rehabilitation-device design, and the evaluation of human movement under applied forces. Studying the approach also supports systematic documentation of traditional health practices and may help researchers compare manual interventions with contemporary musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation methods.
