Digital Health Intervention

A digital health intervention is a technology-enabled approach that uses software, connected devices, or digital communication to prevent disease, support diagnosis, manage treatment, or improve health behavior. It works by delivering tailored information, reminders, monitoring, decision support, or remote clinical interactions through tools such as mobile applications, wearable sensors, patient portals, and telehealth platforms. In medicine, these interventions can extend care beyond clinical settings, help patients track symptoms and treatment adherence, and provide clinicians with timely health data. Their evaluation considers clinical outcomes, usability, privacy, accessibility, and integration into routine care.
