Real-time Ultrasonography

Real-time ultrasonography is a noninvasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce continuously updated images of internal organs, tissues, and moving structures. As a transducer emits sound pulses, returning echoes vary according to tissue boundaries and acoustic properties; a computer processes these signals into images displayed immediately, allowing clinicians to observe anatomy and motion during an examination. In medicine, real-time ultrasonography supports bedside assessment, image-guided procedures, fetal monitoring, cardiac and abdominal evaluation, and vascular studies without ionizing radiation. It can also guide needle placement and provide rapid information for diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Ultrasonography is an imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to visualize the body's internal structures. It is a non-invasive and safe procedure that does not involve the use of ionizing radiation, making it widely used in various medical fields. Ultrasonography is used to study heart function, blood flow in the neck or extremities, certain conditions such as gallbladder disease, and fetal growth and development. During an ultrasonography procedure, a handheld device called a...

Retraining abnormal movement patterns following injury or disease is a key component of physical rehabilitation. Recent advances in technology have permitted accurate assessment of movement during a variety of tasks, with near instantaneous quantification of results. This provides new opportunities for modification of faulty movement patterns in real time.

Real Time RT-PCR

Real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, or Real-time RT-PCR, is an analytical tool used to determine the expression level of target genes. The method involves converting mRNA to complementary DNA with the help of an enzyme known as reverse transcriptase, followed by the PCR amplification of the cDNA. These two processes can be performed simultaneously in a single tube or separately as a two-step reaction. The real-time quantification of the number of amplified products is...
