Cerebral Field Of View

Cerebral field of view refers to the portion of the visual environment represented and processed by the brain, linking external space to neural activity in the visual system. Light reaching the retina is converted into electrical signals that travel through the optic nerves and chiasm to visual pathways in the cerebral cortex, where receptive fields organize information about location, shape, and movement. Studying this representation helps neuroscientists map visual processing, interpret the effects of cortical or optic-pathway lesions, and investigate visual field loss. It also supports research on perception, brain imaging, and neuroprosthetic approaches for restoring functional vision.

2018

We describe protocols for using the wide field-of-view nematode tracking platform (WF-NTP), which enables high-throughput phenotypic characterization of large populations of Caenorhabditis elegans. These protocols can be used to characterize subtle behavioral changes in mutant strains or in response to pharmacological treatment in a highly scalable fashion.

This study describes how to obtain high quality musculoskeletal images using the extended field-of-view ultrasound (EFOV-US) method for the purpose of making muscle fascicle length measures. We apply this method to muscles with fascicles that extend past the field-of-view of common traditional ultrasound (T-US) probes.

2025

Econometric Views, often stylized as EViews, is a package that merges statistical analysis with econometric studies. It is designed to provide tools for time series analysis, forecasting, and econometric model simulation. The software originated from MicroTSP software and has evolved significantly since its inception in 1981. The history of EViews is marked by a continuous effort to enhance its computational speed and user interface. It was initially developed for large computing systems but...
