Kambin Triangle Approach

Kambin Triangle Approach is a minimally invasive posterolateral route to the lumbar intervertebral disc and spinal canal, important for treating selected causes of nerve-root compression while limiting tissue disruption. The surgeon advances instruments through Kambin’s triangle, a working corridor bounded by the exiting nerve root, traversing nerve root, and superior endplate of the caudal vertebra, using fluoroscopic or endoscopic guidance to reduce neural injury. The approach supports percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy, foraminoplasty, and selected interbody procedures. By providing targeted access to herniated disc material and foraminal pathology, it informs pain relief, neural decompression, and ongoing refinement of minimally invasive spine surgery.

Full-Endoscopic Trans-Kambin Triangle Lumbar Interbody Fusion: Surgical Technique

2026

Here, we present a protocol to perform full-endoscopic trans-Kambin triangle lumbar interbody fusion (KLIF). The protocol utilizes a posterolateral approach via Kambin’s triangle for safe expandable cage insertion and neural decompression while preserving dorsal facet structure and minimizing soft tissue trauma.

Trigonometry of Right Triangles

2025

In a right triangle, trigonometric functions establish specific ratios that describe the relationship between the lengths of the triangle's sides and its acute angles. These relationships are foundational in understanding the structure of right-angled geometry. The sine function quantifies the proportion of the side opposite a given angle compared to the triangle's hypotenuse. In contrast, the cosine function expresses how the side adjacent to the angle relates to the hypotenuse in terms of...

Binomial Expansion Using Pascal's Triangle

Expanding a binomial expression such as (a + b)n results in a predictable sequence of terms that can be systematically derived using Pascal’s Triangle. This triangular array of numbers plays a central role in understanding and computing the coefficients of binomial expansions.Pascal’s Triangle is constructed such that each row corresponds to the coefficients of a binomial raised to a power. The topmost row, known as the zeroth row, corresponds to (a + b)0, and each successive row gives the...

Frustration and Conflict: Approach-Approach, Approach-Avoidance

2025

Frustration occurs when people are obstructed or prevented from achieving a desired goal or fulfilling a perceived need. For example, when someone's input is ignored in a discussion, it can lead to feelings of frustration. Conflict, however, arises from opposing interests, goals, or actions. Conflicts can take various forms based on the nature of these opposing desires or goals. One common type of conflict is the Approach–Approach Conflict. In this case, a person faces two desirable options,...
