College Board

College Board is a nonprofit educational organization that develops academic programs, standardized assessments, and college-readiness resources for students and educators. In psychology, its AP Psychology framework organizes foundational topics such as biological bases of behavior, cognition, development, learning, and research methods, while assessments measure students’ understanding through selected-response and free-response questions. These materials help high school students build an introductory foundation in psychological science and may support placement or credit decisions at participating colleges. The framework also provides instructors with a structured way to connect psychological concepts, evidence, and scientific reasoning in classroom instruction.

Introduction to the Power Pole Board

2023

Source: Ali Bazzi, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. DC/DC converters are power electronic converters that convert DC voltages and currents from a certain level to another level. Typically, voltage conversion is the main purpose of DC/DC converters and three main types of conversion exist in a single converter: stepping up, stepping down, and stepping up or down. Among the most common step-up converters are boost converters (Refer to this collections...

2014

Body segmental inertial properties are required for inverse dynamics modeling. Using an oscillation and reaction board technique, inertial properties of below-knee prostheses were measured. Using direct measures of prosthesis inertia in the inverse dynamics model of the prosthetic leg resulted in lower magnitudes of resultant joint forces and moments.

This protocol describes the modified hole board, which is a behavioral test set-up that comprises the characteristics of an open field and a traditional hole board. This set-up enables the differential analysis of unconditioned behavior of small laboratory mammals as well as the analysis of cognitive abilities.

Programmed electrical stimulation provides the ability to determine conduction properties of the heart, and the possibility to induce and terminate cardiac arrhythmias using various pacing protocols. Using a transvenous catheter, intracardiac electrogram recordings can be obtained in mice following programmed electrical stimulation protocols to identify arrhythmogenic substrates.
