Dynamic Detection Head

Dynamic Detection Head is an adaptive component in computer vision systems that refines feature representations to improve object detection across varying scales, locations, and visual contexts. It typically processes multilevel feature maps with attention mechanisms that dynamically reweight information across scales, spatial positions, and detection tasks rather than applying fixed, uniform operations. By emphasizing features most relevant to object size, position, and category, the approach can improve localization and classification accuracy while supporting efficient use of computational resources. In engineering, dynamic detection heads are applied to autonomous systems, industrial inspection, robotics, and other environments where reliable recognition of diverse objects is essential.

We demonstrated that malignant pigmented lesions with increased metabolic activity generate quantifiable amounts of heat and the measurement of the transient thermal response of the skin to a cooling excitation allows quantitative identification of melanoma and other skin cancers (vs. non-proliferative nevi) at an early stage of the disease.

Gaze in Action: Head-mounted Eye Tracking of Children's Dynamic Visual Attention During Naturalistic Behavior

Young children do not passively observe the world, but rather actively explore and engage with their environment. This protocol provides guiding principles and practical recommendations for using head-mounted eye trackers to record infants' and toddlers' dynamic visual environments and visual attention in the context of natural behavior.

We describe here the procedures for the extraction and purification of mRNA and metabolites from Drosophila heads. We are applying these techniques to better understand the cellular perturbations underlying neuronal degeneration. These methodologies can be easily scaled and adapted for other "omic" projects.
