T Cell Transfer Model

The T Cell Transfer Model is an experimental system in which defined T lymphocytes are introduced into a recipient to study immune responses in vivo. Researchers isolate, activate, or genetically modify donor T cells, then transfer them into an appropriately matched or prepared host, where their migration, expansion, effector function, and persistence can be measured under controlled conditions. In immunology and infection research, this model helps link T cell behavior to pathogen control, tissue damage, or immunopathology while enabling analysis of antigen-specific responses and potential therapeutic strategies.

Inducing Paralysis in a Mouse Model via Transfer of Aquaporin-4-Specific Th17 Cells

2025

This video demonstrates the procedure of inducing paralysis by transferring activated Th17 cells targeting aquaporin-4 into a mouse model. In the central nervous system, the activated Th17 cells interact with aquaporin-4-expressing astrocytes, triggering an immune response that leads to tail and limb paralysis in the mouse.
