Tissue Remodeling Study

A tissue remodeling study examines how tissue structure and composition change over time, a process central to healing, disease progression, and maintenance of organ function. Remodeling occurs through coordinated degradation and deposition of extracellular matrix, along with changes in cell proliferation, migration, differentiation, and interactions with mechanical or inflammatory signals. In medicine, these studies clarify how wounds repair, how fibrosis disrupts normal architecture, and how tumors alter their surrounding microenvironment. The findings support improved disease diagnosis, biomaterial design, regenerative therapies, and treatments aimed at restoring healthy tissue organization.

Nucleosome Remodeling

2020

Nucleosomes are the basic units of chromatin compaction. Each nucleosome consists of the DNA bound tightly around a histone core, which makes the DNA inaccessible to DNA binding proteins such as DNA polymerase and RNA polymerase. Hence, the fundamental problem is to ensure access to DNA when appropriate, despite the compact and protective chromatin structure. Nucleosome remodeling complex Eukaryotic cells have specialized enzymes called ATP-dependent nucleosome remodeling enzymes. These enzymes...

2023

Here, we present a method to obtain images of the intestine upon laser-induced wounding. By exposing the mouse intestine to a multiphoton laser, the loss of a single or multiple crypt(s) is induced locally. By repeatedly imaging the damaged area over months, the real-time dynamics of intestinal recovery is captured.

Generation and Purification of Human INO80 Chromatin Remodeling Complexes and Subcomplexes

2014

This protocol describes a procedure for generating and purifying wild type and mutant versions of the human INO80 chromatin remodeling complex. Epitope tagged versions of INO80 subunits are stably expressed in HEK293 cells, and complete complexes and complexes lacking specific sets of subunits are purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
