Xenoinjertos tumorales humanos en ratones inmunodeficientes son herramientas valiosas para el estudio de la biología del cáncer. Se describen los protocolos específicos para generar los xenoinjertos subcutáneos y intrahepática de células de carcinoma hepatocelular humano o fragmentos tumorales. La regeneración hepática inducida por hepatectomía parcial en ratones receptores se presenta como una estrategia para facilitar el injerto intrahepática.
