Real-time Nmr

Real-time NMR is a nuclear magnetic resonance method that monitors chemical changes as they occur, providing time-resolved information about reaction progress and molecular composition. It works by acquiring successive spectra from a sample under controlled conditions and tracking changes in signals, including chemical shifts and peak intensities, as reactants are converted into products or intermediates. In chemistry, real-time NMR supports reaction kinetics, mechanism studies, catalyst evaluation, and process optimization without relying solely on end-point analysis. The approach can reveal transient species and competing pathways, helping researchers understand and improve synthetic reactions.
