Ad5f35pp65 Vector Transduction

Ad5f35pp65 vector transduction is a gene-delivery approach that uses a recombinant adenoviral vector to introduce the cytomegalovirus pp65 antigen into target cells, enabling controlled study or induction of antiviral immunity. The vector combines an adenovirus type 5 backbone with a type 35 fiber, which can alter cellular attachment and facilitate entry into cells expressing the CD46 receptor; after internalization, the delivered pp65 gene is expressed without requiring productive viral replication. In immunology and infection research, this system supports antigen presentation, measurement of pp65-specific T-cell responses, and development of vaccines or cellular immunotherapies against cytomegalovirus.
