Sabre

SABR, sometimes written SABRE, is a form of highly precise external-beam radiotherapy that delivers ablative radiation doses to a defined tumor while limiting exposure to nearby healthy tissue. It uses three-dimensional imaging, treatment planning, and stereotactic positioning to focus several radiation beams from different directions, typically in a small number of treatment sessions. In medicine, SABR is used most often for selected localized tumors, including lesions in the lung, liver, spine, and prostate, particularly when surgery is unsuitable or patients need a shorter treatment course. Its precision can improve local tumor control while reducing treatment burden, although careful patient selection and motion management remain essential.

Lesion Explorer (LE) is a semi-automatic, image-processing pipeline developed to obtain regional brain tissue and subcortical hyperintensity lesion volumetrics from structural MRI of Alzheimer's disease and normal elderly. To ensure a high level of accuracy and reliability, the following is a video-guided, standardized protocol for LE's manual procedures.
