Wide-view Stimulation

Wide-view stimulation is a neuroscience approach that presents sensory input across a broad portion of an animal’s or participant’s field of view, enabling researchers to study neural responses to large-scale environmental signals. In visual experiments, displays or projection systems deliver controlled patterns, changes in luminance, or moving scenes that activate populations of neurons spanning multiple visual-field representations. This approach helps characterize receptive-field organization, spatial integration, attention, and responses to naturalistic stimuli. By linking wide-field sensory input with neural activity and behavior, researchers can examine how the brain combines local information into coherent representations of the surrounding environment.

We describe protocols for using the wide field-of-view nematode tracking platform (WF-NTP), which enables high-throughput phenotypic characterization of large populations of Caenorhabditis elegans. These protocols can be used to characterize subtle behavioral changes in mutant strains or in response to pharmacological treatment in a highly scalable fashion.

2025

Econometric Views, often stylized as EViews, is a package that merges statistical analysis with econometric studies. It is designed to provide tools for time series analysis, forecasting, and econometric model simulation. The software originated from MicroTSP software and has evolved significantly since its inception in 1981. The history of EViews is marked by a continuous effort to enhance its computational speed and user interface. It was initially developed for large computing systems but...
