פרוטוקול זה מתאר שיטה להקמת מחסום דם-מוח אנושי (BBB) במודל מבחנה . תאי האנדותל והפריציטים נזרעים בכל צד של מסנן הכנסה (תא דם), ואסטרוציטים נזרעים בבאר התחתונה (תא המוח). המודל שאפיין שימש לניסויים בהובלת ננו-חלקיקים.
