Inline Dosimeter

An inline dosimeter is a measurement device placed within an operating system or radiation path to monitor absorbed dose without interrupting the process. Its sensor detects energy deposited by radiation and converts that response into a calibrated signal, enabling continuous or near-real-time dose tracking under defined exposure conditions. In biochemistry, inline dosimetry can help control radiation-based sample treatment, sterilization, or analytical workflows by confirming that proteins, nucleic acids, cells, or other biological materials receive the intended dose. Reliable dose measurements improve reproducibility, support process validation, and help researchers relate radiation exposure to molecular changes and biological outcomes.

The three-dimensional locations of weakly-scattering objects can be uniquely identified using digital inline holographic microscopy (DIHM), which involves a minor modification to a standard microscope. Our software uses a simple imaging heuristic coupled with Rayleigh-Sommerfeld back-propagation to yield the three-dimensional position and geometry of a microscopic phase object.

This study describes a protocol to measure exposure levels in the 2.4 GHz band, avoiding the uncertainties caused by the use of personal exposimeters as measuring devices. These alterations of the exposure levels should be taken into account, especially in compliance testing, where exposure limits are defined from non-perturbed data.

We introduce the VacuSIP, a simple, non-intrusive, and reliable method for clean and accurate point sampling of water. The system was developed and evaluated for the simultaneous collection of the water inhaled and exhaled by benthic suspension feeders in situ, to cleanly measure removal and excretion of particulate and dissolved compounds.
