Maintenance Inspection

Maintenance inspection is a systematic examination performed to verify that equipment, facilities, or biological materials remain safe, functional, and suitable for ongoing work. In biology, it relies on routine observation, measurement, and documentation of conditions such as cleanliness, temperature, humidity, instrument performance, sample integrity, and signs of contamination or deterioration. By comparing findings with established specifications and recording deviations, researchers can correct problems before they compromise experiments, animal care, cell culture, or biosafety. Regular maintenance inspection supports reproducible results, reduces equipment failure and contamination risk, and helps laboratories meet quality and regulatory requirements.
