Simultaneous Drug Detection

Simultaneous drug detection is an analytical approach for identifying and measuring multiple drugs or drug-related compounds in a single sample, improving efficiency when complex treatment mixtures must be characterized. It works by distinguishing compounds through properties such as chemical structure, separation behavior, or instrument-specific signal responses, allowing several analytes to be assessed during one measurement. In cancer research, this approach supports the study of combination therapies, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and treatment exposure in biological samples. By providing coordinated measurements, simultaneous drug detection can help researchers compare drug interactions, evaluate therapeutic strategies, and refine experimental designs.

2016

High Frequency Oscillations (HFOs) have emerged as presurgical biomarkers for the identification of the epileptogenic zone in pediatric patients with medically refractory epilepsy. A methodology for the noninvasive recording, detection, and localization of HFOs with simultaneous scalp electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) is presented.
