Marker Registration

Marker registration is the process of identifying and aligning corresponding anatomical or fiducial markers across medical images or between an image and a patient, creating a shared spatial reference for clinical measurement and guidance. It typically uses detectable landmarks, image coordinates, and a registration algorithm to estimate the transformation needed to match datasets, such as translations, rotations, or more complex deformations, while accuracy depends on marker localization and image quality. In medicine, marker registration supports multimodal image fusion, surgical navigation, treatment planning, and follow-up by helping clinicians compare anatomy over time or relate imaging data to the patient’s physical position.

The combination of multiple imaging modalities is often necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of pathophysiology. This approach utilizes phantoms to generate a differential transformation between the coordinate systems of two modalities, which is then applied for co-registration. This method eliminates the need for fiducials in production scans.

2026

Shelf registration is an essential tool for companies to raise capital flexibly and efficiently. It is a provision by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that enables companies to file a single registration for securities they intend to issue over time rather than all at once. This process offers multiple advantages.Flexibility and Convenience: Shelf registration allows companies to issue securities in phases per market conditions and funding needs rather than raising all capital at...

Multiplexed Immunofluorescence Assay for Spatial Assessment of Senescence Markers in vivo

2026

Multiplexed immunofluorescence enables sequential labeling of multiple antibody markers within a single tissue section to support spatial analysis of tissue architecture and cell populations. Here, a workflow for multiplex detection of senescence-associated, structural, and immune markers is presented, including manual and automated slide preparation, iterative imaging, and single-cell analysis using digital pathology software.
