Wireless Transmitter System

A wireless transmitter system is a device that converts measurements or signals into wireless communication, enabling data transfer without a physical cable. In neuroscience, sensors or implanted electrodes detect electrical activity, the system conditions and encodes these signals, and a transmitter sends them through radiofrequency communication to a remote receiver for recording and analysis. This approach supports monitoring neural activity in freely moving animals and can reduce movement restrictions and tether-related artifacts. Wireless systems are valuable for studying behavior, brain function, and neural circuits, while also informing the development of neuroprosthetics, brain-computer interfaces, and other technologies for untethered neural recording.
