3d Printing Technology

3D printing technology is a manufacturing approach that builds physical objects layer by layer from a digital model, enabling complex designs and customized structures. In bioengineering, a printer deposits or selectively solidifies materials according to programmed geometric data, with process conditions such as layer thickness, temperature, and curing controlling the final architecture. Researchers use this technology to fabricate tissue-engineering scaffolds, prosthetics, medical models, and patient-specific devices. By integrating biomaterials, cells, and precise spatial patterning, 3D printing supports studies of tissue structure and function while advancing personalized medicine and regenerative research.
