Intra-uterine Injection

Intra-uterine injection is a technique that delivers cells, drugs, or other experimental materials directly into the uterine cavity, enabling localized investigation of uterine biology and disease. The procedure introduces a measured suspension through the cervix or uterine wall, where the material contacts the endometrial lining and can initiate localized responses or tumor formation under controlled conditions. In cancer research, this approach helps generate and study uterine tumor models, evaluate cancer cell behavior, and test targeted therapies while limiting exposure to other tissues. It can also support investigations of tumor development, treatment response, and mechanisms underlying endometrial cancer.

2023

Source: Rachel Liu, BAO, MBBCh, Emergency Medicine, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut, USA The anterior shoulder dislocation is one of the most common joint dislocations seen in emergency settings. In anterior shoulder dislocation, the humeral head is displaced out of the glenohumeral joint in front of the scapular glenoid, resulting in a loss of the articulation between the arm and the rest of the shoulder. This can be caused by a fall onto an abducted, extended, and externally...

2014

Lymph nodes are the immunological tissues that orchestrate immune response and are a critical target for vaccines. Biomaterials have been employed to better target lymph nodes and to control delivery of antigens or adjuvants. This paper describes a technique combining these ideas to inject biocompatible polymer particles into lymph nodes.

This manuscript provides the detailed procedure of intra-iliac artery (IIA) injection, a technique to deliver cancer cells specifically to hind limb tissues including bones to establish experimental bone metastases. Although initially established with breast tumor models, this protocol can be easily extended to other cancer types.

This manuscript describes a technique for visualization of the developing vasculature. Here we utilized in utero intra-cardiac FITC-labeled tomato lectin microinjections on mouse embryos. Using this technique, we delineate the perfused and unperfused vessels throughout the embryonic kidney.
