Automated Data Evaluation

Automated data evaluation is the use of computational procedures to assess, organize, and interpret datasets with limited manual review, improving consistency and efficiency in scientific research. In neuroscience, automated pipelines can preprocess imaging, electrophysiological, or behavioral data, detect missing or anomalous values, apply predefined quality-control criteria, and use statistical or machine-learning methods to identify meaningful patterns. These workflows help researchers evaluate large, complex datasets more reproducibly, reduce subjective decisions, and flag results that require expert inspection. By standardizing data assessment, automated evaluation supports reliable measurement, faster analysis, and scalable studies of neural activity, brain structure, and behavior.

Peptide adsorption to plasticware during traditional tip-based serial dilutions can significantly impact potency determination and confound the understanding of structure-activity relationships used for lead identification and lead optimization phases of drug discovery. Here methods for automated acoustic non-contact serial dilution of peptide samples are described.

Data Interpretation

2026

Research papers often present findings in the form of numerical tables, statistical outputs, and graphical representations. However, numerical results alone do not convey meaning unless researchers examine and place them in context. Data interpretation is the systematic process through which researchers transform raw information into clear, meaningful insights. It begins only after researchers have collected data through experiments, surveys, or observational studies. In their unprocessed form,...
