Dr. Wenhua Zhang is a professor of Biophysics at the School of Life Sciences, Lanzhou University, China. He obtained his PhD in structural enzymology from Université Paris-Sud 11 (now Université Paris-Saclay), France, in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Herman van Tilbeurgh. His research focuses on the biogenesis and cellular functions of tRNA modifications, particularly the evolutionarily conserved t⁶A family modifications located at position 37 of the anticodon loop, which are essential for maintaining translational fidelity. Dr. Zhang serves on the editorial boards of RNA Biology and Non-coding RNA Research.
