Needle Injection Method

Needle injection method is a controlled technique for delivering cells, drugs, biomaterials, or other solutions into a defined location using a hollow needle, making it useful for modeling and treating biological conditions. The method works by advancing the needle to a selected depth and applying controlled pressure to deposit a measured volume, while needle size, injection rate, and target tissue influence distribution and local response. In cancer research, needle injection supports the establishment of tumor models, localized delivery of therapeutic compounds, and evaluation of treatment effects in vivo. Consistent technique improves reproducibility and helps link delivery conditions with tumor growth, drug response, and treatment safety.

Source: Julianna Jung, MD, FACEP, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Maryland, USA For unstable patients requiring urgent administration of medications, fluids, or blood products, establishing vascular access quickly is essential. However, there are many factors that can complicate placement of a peripheral intravenous cannula (PIV), and it is extremely common for PIV attempts to fail. PIV placement may be technically challenging in small...
