Floor Plan Analysis

Floor plan analysis is the systematic evaluation of a building’s two-dimensional layout to understand how spaces, structural elements, and circulation are organized, making it essential for engineering design and review. Engineers interpret scale, dimensions, symbols, wall locations, openings, and connections between rooms to assess spatial relationships, movement paths, constructability, and coordination with building systems. This analysis supports planning, code and accessibility reviews, structural decisions, and the detection of conflicts before construction begins. By converting graphical information into measurable design constraints, floor plan analysis improves communication among project teams, reduces costly revisions, and helps ensure that proposed spaces function safely and efficiently.

Price Floor

2025

A price floor is a policy tool that sets a legal minimum price for a good or service. It is often implemented to protect producers from falling prices and ensure a fair income, particularly in the agricultural sector. However, when the price floor is established above the equilibrium price, it can disrupt the natural market balance. This can lead to unintended consequences such as lost consumer surplus and reduced market efficiency. When a price floor is imposed above the market-clearing price,...

Watershed Planning within a Quantitative Scenario Analysis Framework

Cited by 1 •

2016

There is a critical need for tools and methodologies capable of managing aquatic systems in the face of uncertain future conditions. We provide methods for conducting a targeted watershed assessment that enables resource managers to produce landscape-based cumulative effects models for use within a scenario analysis management framework.

Muscles of the Pelvic Floor and Perineum

2025

The muscles of the pelvic floor and perineum are crucial for supporting the pelvic organs, controlling continence, and aiding in sexual function, childbirth, and core stability. They are typically divided into the superficial perineal layer and the deep pelvic floor layer. Perineal Layer The perineum is a diamond-shaped area below the pelvic diaphragm, divided into an anterior urogenital triangle that contains the external genitals and a posterior anal triangle housing the anus. The urogenital...

Culture of Isolated Floor Plate Tissue and Production of Conditioned Medium to Assess Functional Properties of Floor Plate-released Signals

2014

The floor plate is a crucial structure of the developing spinal cord, providing diffusible signals to progenitors and differentiating neurons. We describe a method to produce floor-plate conditioned medium, to apply it to fresh spinal cord tissue, and to assess the consequences on proteins of interest by biochemistry.

Coronoid-Temporalis Pedicled Flap for Orbital Floor Defect Reconstruction

2025

This protocol presents a novel coronoid-temporalis pedicled flap (CTPF) technique for reconstructing small-to-medium orbital floor defects. CTPF avoids microvascular risks while maintaining biomechanical stability. Clinical cases demonstrate effective structural restoration, reduced complications, and preserved facial symmetry, offering a viable alternative to traditional grafts or alloplastic materials.
