Spraying System

A spraying system is an engineered arrangement that delivers a liquid or suspension as controlled droplets across a target surface, volume, or process zone. It typically uses a reservoir, pump, piping, valves, and nozzles to regulate pressure and flow, while nozzle geometry and operating conditions determine droplet size, spray pattern, and coverage. In engineering, these systems support applications such as surface coating, cooling, cleaning, fire suppression, and agricultural treatment. Proper design improves material efficiency, distribution uniformity, process control, and operator safety, while reducing overspray, waste, and environmental release. Performance evaluation commonly considers flow rate, pressure, coverage, and maintenance requirements.

A Spray Inoculation Technique to Establish Fungal Infection in Rice Plant Leaves

2025

This video demonstrates a technique to establish the pathogenic fungus Magnaporthe grisea infection in rice plant leaves. The fungal conidia suspension is sprayed on sections of rice leaf, and the disease progression is assessed by scoring the formation of necrotic lesions.

Topical Airway Anesthesia for Awake-endoscopic Intubation Using the Spray-as-you-go Technique with High Oxygen Flow

The topical anesthetic lidocaine was atomized using a high oxygen flow through the working channel of a flexible intubating endoscope to achieve topical airway anesthesia for awake endotracheal intubation. We prefer this modified spray-as-you-go technique for endoscopic intubation to classical bolus application because of higher patient satisfaction and better compliance.

Spray-Coated Melanin/PEDOT:PSS Films for Sustainable Organic Electrochemical Transistors
