Transversal Angles

Transversal angles are the pairs and groups of angles created when a line crosses two or more other lines, providing a foundation for analyzing geometric relationships. Their properties depend on the positions of the angles and the lines involved: corresponding and alternate interior angles are congruent when the crossed lines are parallel, while same-side interior angles are supplementary. By identifying these relationships, students and researchers can determine unknown angle measures, test whether lines are parallel, and justify geometric proofs. Transversal angles also support coordinate geometry, polygon analysis, and practical applications involving intersecting paths, boundaries, and structural layouts.

2022

The present protocol describes a modified and simplified technique with a minimally invasive transverse aortic constriction (TAC) procedure using a self-made retractor. This procedure can be conducted without a ventilator or microscope and introduces pressure overload, eventually leading to cardiac hypertrophy or heart failure.

Minimally invasive transverse aortic constriction (MTAC) conserves the essentials of regular transverse aortic constriction (TAC) while eliminating the use of a ventilator with tracheal intubation. It proves to be a highly desirable method for high-throughput studies on left ventricular overload, particularly in translational studies.

Speed of a Transverse Wave

2025

The speed of a wave depends on the characteristics of the medium. For example, in the case of a guitar, the strings vibrate to produce the sound. The speed of the waves on the strings and the wavelength determine the frequency of the sound produced. The strings on a guitar have different thicknesses but may be made of similar material. They have different linear densities, and the linear density is defined as the mass per length. One of the key properties of any wave is the wave speed. Light...
