Lobe Enucleation Technique

Lobe enucleation technique is a surgical method for removing a defined anatomical lobe or localized lesion while preserving as much surrounding tissue as possible. The surgeon exposes the target, identifies its natural boundary or capsule, and carefully dissects along that plane, controlling blood vessels and maintaining the integrity of adjacent structures. In medicine, this tissue-sparing approach can support organ preservation, reduce unnecessary resection, and provide a specimen for pathological assessment. Its use depends on the organ involved, the lesion’s location and extent, and the patient’s clinical condition, making precise anatomical knowledge and careful surgical control essential.
