Hyperdynamic Lvef

Hyperdynamic left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) describes an unusually high proportion of blood expelled from the left ventricle during each heartbeat, typically above the normal reference range on cardiac imaging. Echocardiography estimates LVEF from ventricular volumes, and a hyperdynamic value can result from vigorous myocardial contraction, reduced end-systolic volume, or altered loading conditions such as low circulating volume. In medicine, this finding is interpreted alongside symptoms, chamber size, blood pressure, and other cardiac measurements rather than viewed as inherently beneficial. Recognizing its clinical context can help identify hemodynamic stress, guide further evaluation, and improve assessment of cardiovascular function.
