Stage Iii Disease

Stage III disease describes an advanced clinical stage in which a condition has progressed beyond its initial site, often involving extensive local growth or nearby tissues and, in many cancers, regional lymph nodes without established distant spread. Clinicians determine this stage by integrating physical findings, imaging, laboratory tests, pathology, and other disease-specific criteria that measure the extent and biological features of illness. Stage III classification helps guide treatment selection, such as surgery, radiation, systemic therapy, or combined approaches, while informing prognosis, follow-up planning, clinical trial eligibility, and communication among care teams. Its precise meaning varies by disease, so staging criteria must be interpreted within the relevant medical framework.

2026

Crohn’s disease is a chronic, relapsing form of inflammatory bowel disease characterized by segmental, transmural inflammation that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. Its pathogenesis arises from a combination of genetic susceptibility, environmental exposures, epithelial barrier dysfunction, and immune dysregulation. Together, these factors lead to an exaggerated immune response against components of the gut microbiome.Genetic and Environmental InfluencesMultiple genetic...

2025

This video demonstrates the development of a pro-inflammatory and degenerative organ culture model for early-stage intervertebral disc (IVD) disease using TNF-α. It outlines the procedure for injecting TNF-α into the intervertebral disc and explains the mechanisms through which TNF-α induces inflammation and degradation of the IVD.
