Tfap2c Gata3 Eomes Ets2

Tfap2c, Gata3, Eomes, and Ets2 are transcription factors that help control cell identity and lineage decisions during development, making them important regulators in developmental biology. By binding specific DNA sequences in promoters and enhancers, these proteins cooperate with other regulatory factors to activate or repress gene expression programs that influence progenitor-cell maintenance and differentiation. Studying their expression, genomic targets, and interactions helps researchers reconstruct gene regulatory networks involved in early embryonic and extraembryonic development, including trophoblast lineage specification. Experimental manipulation of these factors can clarify how developmental signals are translated into stable cell states and improve models of implantation and placental formation.

2025

Source: Espinoza, R., et al. Real-Time, Two-Color Stimulated Raman Scattering Imaging of Mouse Brain for Tissue Diagnosis. J. Vis. Exp. (2022). The video demonstrates two-color stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) imaging of mouse brain tissue sections. Two synchronized laser beams are directed onto the tissue section to excite molecular vibrations, resulting in a relative intensity change in the beams. Lipids and proteins in the tissue are detected using distinct frequency pairs of the laser...

Immunofluorescence Assay to Detect PM2.5-Mediated DNA Damage in Fish Embryos

2025

This video demonstrates a highly sensitive immunofluorescence-based assay for detecting PM2.5-induced oxidative damage in the hearts of zebrafish embryos by measuring the levels of 8-OHdG and γH2AX, which indicate DNA damage and double-strand DNA breaks, respectively.
