Cell Tracker Green

Cell Tracker Green is a fluorescent cell-labeling reagent used to visualize and follow living cells over time, making it valuable for studying cell movement, survival, and interactions. The membrane-permeant dye enters cells, where intracellular esterases remove acetate groups and the resulting chloromethyl fluorophore reacts with thiol-containing molecules, producing intracellular retention and green fluorescence. In immunology and infection research, labeled leukocytes or other host cells can be tracked during migration, activation, and contact with pathogens or infected cells. Fluorescence microscopy and related assays use this signal to assess cell behavior, host-pathogen interactions, and changes in cell populations.

Green Algae

2025

Green algae, also referred to as chlorophytes, are different from red algae in having the chloroplasts containing chlorophylls a and b, which give them their distinct green hue. However, they lack phycobiliproteins, preventing them from developing the red or blue-green pigmentation seen in red algae. In terms of photosynthetic pigment composition, green algae closely resemble plants and share a close evolutionary relationship with them. Taxonomically Green algae belong to Phylum Chlorophyta in...
