Kidney Decompression Analysis

Kidney decompression analysis is the clinical assessment of how effectively pressure and urinary obstruction are relieved within the kidney and upper urinary tract. It considers the cause and severity of impaired drainage, then evaluates the physiological response to interventions such as ureteral stenting or percutaneous nephrostomy, which restore urine flow and reduce upstream pressure. In medicine, this analysis supports decisions about urgent drainage, treatment planning, and follow-up by helping clinicians assess renal recovery and identify persistent obstruction or complications. It can also guide interpretation of imaging, laboratory findings, and clinical symptoms in patients with obstructive uropathy.
