Checking Enteric Tube Placement Before Meds

Enteric tube medications require a careful check of tube placement before each dose. An enteric tube is a tube inserted through the nose or mouth and passed into the stomach or intestines. These tubes may be used for stomach decompression, enteric feeding, or giving medications and oral contrast.
