Description

The cell cycle is the set of events that a typical eukaryotic cell goes through during its life. In somatic cells, it has two main stages: interphase and the mitotic phase. Interphase is the time when the cell grows, carries out basic metabolic functions, copies its DNA, and gets ready to divide.
