D2 Test

The D2 Test is a timed paper-and-pencil assessment of selective attention, concentration, and visual processing speed. It requires participants to scan rows of similar letters and symbols, identify target items according to specific rules, and mark them while avoiding distractors; performance reflects the accuracy and efficiency of sustained visual discrimination under time pressure. In behavioral research and psychological assessment, the test can help characterize attentional control, processing speed, and errors of omission or commission. Its standardized format supports comparisons across individuals and conditions, including studies of cognitive performance and attention-related changes.

2016

Cognitive deficits are common in about one third of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a neurological condition leading to progressive impairments in speech and movement abilities. To conduct cognitive tests in patients unable to speak or write a reliable and easy to administer eye-tracking paradigm was developed.

2026

Self-assembling human cardiac organoids (hCOs) are an emerging system for modeling human cardiac development and disease. Here, a methodology for generating and injuring hCOs with hypoxia-reoxygenation and details of expected histological and functional outcomes after injury are provided.

Here, we present a protocol to use a curvelet transform-based, open-source MATLAB software tool for quantifying fibrillar collagen organization in the extracellular matrix of both normal and diseased tissues. This tool can be applied to images with collagen fibers or other types of line-like structures.
