Adipose Matrix Complex

Adipose Matrix Complex is a biomaterial based on the extracellular matrix of adipose tissue, preserving structural and biochemical cues that influence cell behavior. It is typically produced by removing cellular components while retaining matrix constituents such as collagen, laminin, glycosaminoglycans, and matrix-associated signaling molecules; processing into a scaffold or hydrogel then provides a three-dimensional environment for cell attachment and remodeling. In bioengineering, this tissue-specific material supports research on adipogenesis, vascularization, wound repair, and soft-tissue regeneration. Its composition can help researchers design more physiologically relevant culture systems and regenerative constructs while investigating how extracellular matrix signals regulate tissue development and healing.

The BoTest Matrix botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) detection assays rapidly purify and quantify BoNT from a range of sample matrices. Here, we present a protocol for the detection and quantification of BoNT from both solid and liquid matrices and demonstrate the assay with BOTOX, tomatoes, and milk.

Isolating Adipose-Derived Stem Cells from Murine Periaortic Adipose Tissue

This video demonstrates a technique for isolating and culturing fluorescently labeled neural crest-derived adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) from murine periaortic arch adipose tissue. Following isolation, the NCADSCs are detected, sorted using fluorescence-activated cell sorting, and subsequently cultured on a plate, promoting cell proliferation.

This protocol describes the isolation of pig adipose-derived stem cells (pADSC) from subcutaneous adipose tissues with examination of multipotency. The multipotent pADSC are used to delineate processes of adipocyte differentiation and study transdifferentiation into multiple cell lineages of mesodermal mesenchyme or further lineages of ectoderm and endoderm for regenerative studies.
