Ultrasound Mr Registration

Ultrasound-MR registration is a computational technique that aligns real-time ultrasound images with magnetic resonance (MR) images, linking complementary information for more accurate anatomical assessment and intervention. The process estimates a spatial transformation between the two imaging systems by using tracked probe positions, identifiable anatomical landmarks, image features, or deformable models to account for differences in patient position and tissue shape. In bioengineering, this multimodal image fusion supports image-guided procedures, tissue characterization, surgical navigation, and validation of ultrasound-based measurements against high-resolution MR anatomy. It can improve visualization while reducing reliance on either modality alone.

2026

Shelf registration is an essential tool for companies to raise capital flexibly and efficiently. It is a provision by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that enables companies to file a single registration for securities they intend to issue over time rather than all at once. This process offers multiple advantages.Flexibility and Convenience: Shelf registration allows companies to issue securities in phases per market conditions and funding needs rather than raising all capital at...

Ultrasound Localization Microscopy for Super-Resolution Mapping of the Rodent Brain Microvasculature

2025

Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM) is a recently developed technique that allows for an unprecedented level of resolution in imaging the microvasculature in vivo. In this work, we describe in detail how to obtain super-resolved images of the brain microvasculature in rodents using a standardized functional ultrasound imaging platform designed for preclinical research.

We describe a new ultrasound-based vector tissue Doppler imaging technique to measure muscle contraction velocity, strain and strain rate with sub-millisecond temporal resolution during dynamic activities. This approach provides complementary measurements of dynamic muscle function and could lead to a better understanding of mechanisms underlying musculoskeletal disorders.

An Experimental Protocol for Assessing the Performance of New Ultrasound Probes Based on CMUT Technology in Application to Brain Imaging

The development of new ultrasound (US) probes based on Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducer (CMUT) technology requires an early realistic assessment of imaging capabilities. We describe a repeatable experimental protocol for US image acquisition and comparison with magnetic resonance images, using an ex vivo bovine brain as an imaging target.
