Green Light Therapy

Green light therapy is the controlled use of green wavelengths of visible light to influence biological function, making it a subject of study in photomedicine and biology. When tissue or light-sensitive cells absorb these photons, the resulting photochemical signaling can alter neural activity, cellular metabolism, or inflammatory responses; outcomes depend on wavelength, intensity, exposure time, and tissue penetration. Researchers investigate green light therapy for conditions such as pain and migraine, as well as for broader effects on skin and cellular physiology. Its value lies in offering a noninvasive way to study and potentially modulate biological processes, although its mechanisms and clinical effectiveness remain under investigation.

Light as Energy

2019

The energy required to carry out photosynthesis is light— typically electromagnetic radiation from the sun. The range of all possible wavelengths is known as the electromagnetic spectrum. Photons A photon is a discrete electromagnetic particle or bundle of energy. Photons are characterized by their frequency, wavelength, and amplitude, similar to the properties of a wave. Waves with higher frequencies transmit more energy and have shorter wavelengths than longer wavelengths that transmit less...
