Humid Chamber

A humid chamber is an enclosed container that maintains a moisture-rich atmosphere around biological samples or experimental materials, limiting evaporation during incubation. It works by combining a sealed or covered chamber with a water source, allowing humidity to equilibrate while temperature and exposure conditions remain controlled; this keeps liquid reagents from concentrating or drying on samples. In biology, humid chambers are especially useful for immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and other slide-based assays that require prolonged antibody or reagent incubations. By preserving sample hydration and reaction volumes, they improve staining consistency, support reproducible results, and reduce material loss.

Chambers of the Heart

2025

The human heart is a complex organ made up of four chambers: the right and left atria and the right and left ventricles. These internal chambers are separated by partitions known as the interatrial and interventricular septa. The exterior of the heart features a groove known as the coronary sulcus that demarcates the atria from the ventricles, while the anterior and posterior interventricular sulci distinguish between the two ventricles. Deoxygenated blood from the body is received in the right...

A design is presented to enable cost-effective low-temperature battery cycling for 2032 coin cells in a low-humidity environment. Cells are cycled at 0 °C inside a chamber cooled by thermoelectric modules. This simple design can be adapted for experiments that require similar thermal and humidity-controlled environments or different battery geometries.
