Rabbit Igg Agarose

Rabbit IgG agarose is an affinity resin made by covalently attaching rabbit immunoglobulin G (IgG) to porous agarose beads, providing a stable platform for antibody-based separations and assay controls. The immobilized IgG presents antibody-binding regions that can capture anti-rabbit antibodies, Protein A or Protein G complexes, and other molecules with affinity for rabbit immunoglobulins; retained material can then be washed and eluted under selected conditions. In biology, this matrix supports immunoprecipitation controls, antibody purification, pull-down assays, and depletion of rabbit IgG-binding components. Its defined solid support improves handling, reduces nonspecific background, and helps researchers assess whether observed binding depends on a specific antibody interaction.

Transcytosis of IgG

2023

Transcytosis is the process in which molecules are internalized by endocytosis, transported across the cell, and released through exocytosis from the opposite end of the cell. Molecules such as insulin, immunoglobulins, and certain nutrients are transferred through the recycling endosomes by recycling and transcytosis. IgG molecules from a mother undergo transcytosis starting around 13 weeks of gestation. The amount of IgG transferred and entering the fetal blood circulation increases with...
