Bibliometric Analysis

Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative method for examining scientific publications to measure research output, influence, collaboration, and the development of knowledge in a field. It works by extracting metadata and citation records from scholarly databases, then applying indicators such as publication counts, citation analysis, co-authorship networks, and keyword co-occurrence to identify relationships, trends, and research clusters. In cancer research, these analyses can map rapidly evolving topics, reveal influential studies and institutions, assess collaboration patterns, and highlight understudied areas, helping researchers and policymakers evaluate the field, guide funding priorities, and identify opportunities for future investigation.

Salmonella invades and replicates inside intestinal epithelial cells both in Salmonella-specific vacuoles and free in the cytosol (hyper-replication). A high-throughput fluorescence microscopy-based protocol is described here to quantify the intracellular phenotypes of Salmonella by two complementary image analyses through ImageJ, reaching single-cell resolution and scoring.
