Therapeutic Response Evaluation

Therapeutic response evaluation is the systematic assessment of how a disease changes after treatment, helping determine whether an intervention is effective, ineffective, or producing unintended effects. In cancer research, it combines repeated measurements of tumor burden and patient or model responses with baseline comparisons, using evidence such as imaging findings, molecular biomarkers, pathology, or clinical observations to distinguish treatment response from stable disease or progression. This evaluation guides treatment selection, supports comparisons among therapies, and reveals patterns of sensitivity or resistance. Reliable response assessment also strengthens clinical trial interpretation and can help identify biomarkers that predict which tumors are most likely to benefit.

An Assay to Evaluate Immunodominance in Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte Responses

2025

The video showcases a flow cytometry-based assay for assaying immunodominance in cytotoxic T lymphocytes or CTL responses. Injected fluorescent target cells exhibit varying fluorescence corresponding to immunogenic epitopes. Post-spleen collection and sorting reveal a reduction in high-intensity fluorescent cells, confirming immunodominance in CTL responses.

Clinically Relevant Transplantable Tumor Models for Studying Metastatic Ovarian Cancer and Therapeutic Response in Mouse

Here we present a step-by-step protocol for establishing the intraperitoneal and the intrabursal tumor models to study ovarian cancer cancer progression, metasatsis, and therapeutic response. Further, we describe how to use luciferase-based non-invasive in vivo imaging in these models to monitor tumor progression in mouse.
