Regenerative Medicine Applications

Regenerative medicine applications use cells, biomaterials, engineered tissues, and biological signals to restore or replace damaged cells, tissues, or organs. These approaches work by guiding processes such as stem cell differentiation, proliferation, migration, and tissue remodeling, often by recreating developmental cues that control pattern formation and organ growth. In developmental biology, researchers apply these principles to study how tissues form and repair themselves, while developing organoids, tissue-engineered grafts, and cell-based therapies. The field supports disease modeling, drug testing, and future treatments for injury, degeneration, and congenital disorders.
