Ieee Type 1

IEEE Type 1 is a standardized wind turbine generator model that represents fixed-speed operation in power-system studies, making it useful for evaluating how wind generation interacts with an electrical grid. In this configuration, a squirrel-cage induction generator connects directly to the grid, so grid frequency determines rotor speed while the generator’s slip enables energy conversion and causes reactive-power demand. Engineers use the model to analyze voltage behavior, steady-state performance, fault response, and the effects of integrating wind power into transmission and distribution networks. Although simpler than converter-based models, IEEE Type 1 provides a practical foundation for comparing generator technologies and assessing grid stability.

An Orthotopic Sciatic Nerve Xenograft for Neurofibromatosis Type 1 Neurofibromas

2025

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) leads to benign peripheral nerve sheath tumors (neurofibromas) that require a specific nerve microenvironment for growth. An optimized orthotopic xenograft model was developed, using intraneural injection of human Schwann cells into NSG mice. This model recapitulates human neurofibromas and provides a valuable platform to evaluate therapeutic strategies.
