Timeline

A timeline is a visual or structured representation of events, activities, or milestones arranged in chronological order, making relationships in time easier to understand and manage. In engineering, timelines organize project phases by assigning tasks, durations, dependencies, and deadlines, often using tools such as Gantt charts or critical path analysis to identify sequences that control completion. Engineers use timelines to coordinate design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and deployment while tracking progress against planned objectives. They support resource allocation, reveal schedule conflicts, improve communication among teams, and help evaluate how delays or design changes may affect cost, safety, and delivery.

2023

Source: Ricardo Mejia-Alvarez, Hussam Hikmat Jabbar and Mahmoud N. Abdullatif, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI Owing to the non-linear nature of its governing laws, fluid motion induces complicated flow patterns. Understanding the nature of these patterns has been the subject of intense scrutiny for centuries. Although personal computers and supercomputers are extensively used to deduce fluid flow patterns, their capabilities are still...

An In Vitro Assay to Assess CAR T Cell Cytotoxicity against Tumor Spheroids

2025

This video demonstrates an in vitro assay evaluating the cytotoxic effects of CAR T cells on 3D tumor spheroids expressing fluorescent proteins. This assessment utilizes the Annexin V red fluorescent probe, which binds to exposed phosphatidylserine residues on the outer leaflet of apoptotic cancer cells after interactions with CAR T cells. The red fluorescence emitted by the probe aids in distinguishing these cells from healthy ones emitting green fluorescence.

Spheroid Generation from Cell Lines: A Three-Dimensional (3D) Cell Culture Method

2023

Spheroids are a type of 3D cell culture model used to more accurately represent a cell’s environment compared to 2D cell culture monolayer models. In the example protocol, we will see scientists generate spheroids from a colorectal cancer cell line and apply live-cell imaging to track the spheroids’ growth.
